As an alternative to elder sticks, this high-density foam makes cleaning your parts much simpler.

The foam remains highly homogeneous, without releasing any dust or particles.  It can also be trimmed to a specific shape,

or a small piece can be cut off for use on an oiler.  It can also be used for cleaning oil-pikes.
